Jeff Wilcox is currently employed as a maintenance worker with Caldwell County. Mr. Wilcox was glad this opportunity came along at the time it did and looks forward to continuing it when his time is up.

LaToya Hobgood was placed as an aide for the Madisonville PACS office through Hopkins County. LaToya has been appreciative of this program as it gave her the flexibility to continue looking for jobs that utilize her CNA certification. She will be quitting the program early to move for a position she recently attained.

Deborah Sale is an event organizer with the City of Elkton, KY. One of Deborah’s favorite pet projects is the weekly motorcycle nights that she runs for the city. The City of Elkton values her services and would like to keep her on permanently.

Priscilla Ray, pictured with her supervisor Tina Owen, work with the Hopkinsville chapter of the Red Cross. Priscilla feels that her experience and connections gained through this six months will be a great resume builder.

Kimberly Chester and Markesha McComb are two child caretakers employed through this program at Tri-Stone Daycare. Mrs. Lette, the owner, has indicated that this program has been vital in starting up her business in Hopkinsville.

Whitley Carter also works with Tristone while she goes to a local community college.
|
Shakeeyah Brewton is a receptionist for the Human Relations Board in Hopkinsville. She has worked with this office in the past and hopes that, with the funding the program provided in bringing her back on the job, she will be able to keep her position in her department.

Colin Boley was one of three employees placed through the PEP program with Tooltec Of Elkton, KY. Doug Boley, the owner, felt that this program enabled him to keep his business busy and visible during a hard year. With an increased staff, Mr. Boley said that his company was able to take on more jobs during this time.

Mr. Aaron O’Leary worked at Conrad’s Food Store in Marion, KY. Aaron had completed all courses for a degree in physical therapy. He only needs to earn $600 to take the national exam in order to be a physical therapist. Mr. O’Leary now works at Crittenden Health Systems as a physical therapist assistant, and he is taking his exam on June 12th. Aaron said he would not be where he is today if it were not for the P.E.P program.

Mrs. Angela P’Pool is the gardener at Adsmore Museum in Princeton, KY. She has obtained permanent employment with Adsmore after the program was finished. Mrs. P’Pool’s position as the gardener is a great example of how the P.E.P program encourages the Green initiative.

Mr. James Sloyan is currently employed at Brantley’s Furniture Store in Princeton, KY. Mr. Sloyan is a member of the moving crew at Brantleys, and the owner, is very impressed with his hard work. She hopes that she will be able to hire him on after the program ends.

Mrs. Chanda Jackson has been a great asset to her new employer throughout the program. Chanda worked as an office assistant at Broadbent Foods in Kuttawa, KY. The owner was very impressed with Chanda’s determination, and Chanda has been hired on full time since the program ended.

Mr. Joseph Burgess was also employed at Broadbent Foods, and he worked as a meat handler. Here Joseph is preparing the bacon to be packaged and sold. Mr. Burgess has also found continued employment at Broadbent Foods, and he enjoys working there.

Mr. Landon McLead works for the city of Eddyville, and he is working his way through college. Here Landon is responsible for keeping the town well groomed, and here he is mowing just on the edge of town.

Mrs. Taron Graves was employed at Knights Inn in Cadiz, KY along with Denise Hopson and Myra Sedberry. All three ladies did an excellent job during the program. Mrs. Hopson and Mrs. Graves have been hired permanently since the program. Mrs. Sedberry now works full time at elk Brand in Cadiz.

Clark Davis, Brent Johnson, and Greg Denton are all employed at Little River Dry Kilns in Cadiz, KY. The manager said that this program really helped the business at a time that it really needed it. All three of these gentleman will be hired on permanently after they complete the program.

Mr. Shane Mayfield is preparing dinner at Marion Café in Marion, Ky. The owner said that he had taken out a loan, and his business was still going to have to be shut down because of the recession. He said that the P.E.P program was solely responsible for keeping his business opened.

Mr. Eric Nobles was hired on at Marion Feed Mill in Marion, KY, and he is pictured here tying and loading a feed bag. The owners were extremely satisfied with Eric’s work ethics. Therefore, they are going to hire him on permanently after he completes the program.

Mrs. Anita Cansler worked for Relax Inn located in Kuttawa, KY during the program, and she is very professional in everything that she does. The owners Mr. and Mrs. Patel couldn’t stand to see her leave after the program so they hired her on permanently afterwards.

Mr. Shawn Faulkner was employed by Tambco at Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts in Salem, KY. Shawn is pictured here getting an item off the shelf for a customer. Shawn is truly proving to be a great employee throughout the program.

Mrs. Hazel McDowell is also employed by Tambco, and she works at Salem Pit Stop in Salem, KY. Mrs. Hazel enjoys dealing with the various customers that come in, and she will be hired on permanently after she completes the program.

Gina Little and Terry Watson both work at Thompson’s grocery in Smithland, KY. Both of these ladies did a great job, and the employer said the program turned out to be great for their business. Both ladies will be permanently employed after the program.

Mrs. Mae Kleinsteuber is pictured here working in the Trigg County Judge Executive’s Office. Everyone that works with her acts like she is a joy to work with. Mrs. Kleinstuber has also been hired on after she finished the P.E.P program.

Mr. Trevor Hawk worked for Ginkgo Garden’s as a masseuse throughout the six-months that that the P.E.P program provided him employment. Mr. Hawk was just the right person for the position at Gingko Gardens, and he continues to work there since he completed the program.

Dorothy Dickerson and Vicki Riley work with the Madisonville Historical Society. Dorothy is part of our PEP program and Vicki was placed there via the Title V Program. The city is currently looking for funding to keep these wonderful ladies working to help preserve and spread the history of a great Western Kentucky town.

Ryan Meguiar works the music store at Rockford’s Place in Greenville, KY. Ryan’s experience with recording equipment meant he was perfect for this store and their goal to begin doing small recording sessions for customers.

Leslie Meguiar works at the restaurant in Rockford’s Place. Leslie and Ryan were just married and being able to get in this job has allowed them a nice fresh start.
