FY25 Public Review Notice
Pennyrile Allied Community Services, Inc Community Services Block Grant (PACS CSBG) Plan and Budget Proposal is available for public review. The proposal is prepared annually by PACS and is submitted to the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and Community Action Kentucky. It describes PACS’s plan for use of funds within the Pennyrile region, which includes education, income infrastructure/asset building, housing, health and social behavioral development, civic engagement and community involvement, services supporting multiple domains, linkages, agency capacity building, and employment. In addition, results of the local community needs assessment are included.

A minimum of 7 days before the bid opening, all potential bidders may request the Owner to give clarification of approved equals for portions of the specifications. PACS Providing Hotspots for Qualified Families
Christian County Public School System students who lack access to the internet at home can apply for a voucher to receive a wireless hot spot for one year.
The district announced Monday that Pennyrile Allied Community Services has received a Community Services Block Grant that will help eligible families with school children access the internet. Families who qualify will receive a voucher for one year of free “hot spot” internet access in order to assist with virtual learning requirements of school.
Families needing a hot spot can apply at PACS from 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday thru Friday.
Christian County Public School families should contact the Family Resource and Youth Service Center director at their child’s school for information. The program follows Federal Poverty Guidelines for eligibility and will require verification from PACS. The hot spot devices use cellular technology and require the availability of cell service.
District Superintendent, Chris Bentzel, said, “This grant through PACS, gives eligible families the opportunity to access their school work as we work our way through this pandemic. PACS’ work on this grant reminds us they are a dedicated community partner, and we thank them.
